These are a few preview shots of an awesome day. Choice!

When planning the photography we were planning snow, but the crazy UK winter surprised us with weather that was lovely – bright and dry. Katie & Jason’s friends and family enjoyed a lovely meal, punctuated with speeches that were both emotional and entertaining, in seasonal surroundings, followed by a ‘Take That’ heavy party!

But the day went off with a bang – the hottest end of September / early October weekend in years, a lovely venue – Buxted Park Hotel, East Sussex – and a group of friends and family that were welcoming, easy to get along with, and almost always did as they were told.

I’ve uploaded a sneak preview of the photos as they are being processed to give Kirsty & Pete something to see when they come back from their honeymoon!

They both took the heat in their stride as Sarah got ready at home surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, through the Church service and then on to the reception at nearby Nurstead Court. It was probably helped by their choice of travel, a soft-top classic Bentley which dazzled in the sunshine!

The meal and speeches were followed by a lovely warm evening in which we got some magical ‘golden-hour’ portraits and some dramatic party shots as everyone let their hair down – here’s a selection to give you a glimpse of their day…

After meeting the family at the nearby Old Thameside Inn for some pre-ceremony catching up time, we all made our way over to the church, under the ever-growing eye of The Shard. Once there, Dan kept his cool, and managed to stay that way throughout the arrival and entrance of Sas and her father.

After a lovely ceremony we headed down to The Scoop for some family shots and portraits of the newlywed couple, in the gorgeous afternoon sunlight. Then it was over to the Northbank Restaurant for some pre-dinner drinks with friends and family. We also managed to carve out a few moments to take some romantic portraits in the dusky light, framed by the river and the Millennium Bridge.

A really lovely day with a very happy couple, and some great iconic portraits of their wedding day in central London.

As expected after meeting the Bride and Groom to be, the wedding was full of fun and friendliness. I really enjoyed capturing the day with their friends and family and taking some great portraits of the happy couple in stunning surroundings.

Not even a couple of rain showers could dampen the mood of the day, where Jacqui and Sergio surprised us with not one, but two first dances, which included a nice bit of Dolly & Kenny…
